How to: Gold Glitter Eye Make-up
In this post you'll learn how to recreate this glittery Valentine's make up look;
_________________________________________________________________________________
Step One
First step is to get some tape and create a line from the corner of your eye to the corner of your eyebrow- this will make sure your make up looks neat and perfect once you've finished! This works especially well with loose glitter as it tends to get messy. Prime your eyes with any eye-shadow primer, I used Soap and Glory: It's About Prime in Bright Light. I then used my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to apply Urban Decay: Burnout from the Naked 3 Palette over my entire lid.
Second step is to apply gold glitter up to the crease. I used my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush to apply FRONT COVER Pigment Powder in Burnt Carrot (this was from a Christmas set in Boots a few years ago, try ebay). You can use any loose gold glitter, I suggest Barry M Dazzle Dust.
You've now reached the end of the tutorial and hopefully have lovely glittery eyes ♥ Below are a few swatches of the hard-to-find products so you can hopefully match with something similar. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Any feedback is welcome!
Love,
Step Three
Third step is to apply FRONT COVER Pigment Powder in Coinage, using the same brush as before, to the outer corner of your eye. If you can't find this colour, any copper coloured loose glitter will do- this one is slightly rosy.Step Four
Fourth step is to blend the colour into your crease and into the corner of the gold colour you applied previously until it looks something like this!
Step Five
Fifth step is to finish the corner of your eye and line. I used a small amount of FRONT COVER Pigment Powder in Cloud Dancer in the corner of my eyes, applied with Real Techniques Accent Brush, any loose white shimmery eye shadow will do. I then added gold fine glitter in the corner of my eyes, on top of the white. To do this I used Collection 2000 Glam Glitter Wand in 2 OMG! I absolutely love this product and I have it in every colour possible, I think it is now discontinued and I actually bought mine in the pound store! They still do sell them on ebay and amazon however. First you apply the fixing gel which is on one end, and then the loose glitter which is on the other end. Both are lip gloss style applicators. I then lined my upper eye with Barry M Liquid Liner in Black (my fav) and my water line with Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl in Superblack. I used Eyeko Black Magic Mascara to finish off the look.Step Five
Optional!
Depending on the occasion you can add false lashes for a more dramatic effect. I added Ardell Demi Wispies which I thought were amazing and look super natural!
